I've been dreaming of a new cellphone. Not any particular phone, but a HTC Hero. To the extend there was once when i woke up in the morning, with a special kind of feeling. The kind that says today going to be a great day cause i got a new phone in my pocket. Only to realize later that it was just a mere dream. Am i having delusions? So... what do you think? Brilliant isnt it?

A few days ago, i went to Gurney Plaza just to have a look at the demo set. Yup, HTC Hero had already arrived in Malaysia, but havent officially launch. Pricing at RM2388, its around the range of iPhone 3Gs or lesser and its not bound to any service provider. Personally i find it very attractive and tempting. Its definitely my next cellphone.

I know many would disagree with me, claiming that iPhone 3Gs is a much better option. Apple is renowned for its aesthetically pleasing hardware that screams “BUY ME” as people walks past and iPhone 3Gs, could just drop your jaw instinctively. There's no exception its a stunner to the public that makes you go "WOW".

I admitted that i once fancied an iPhone very much, but later realize its soon to be victimized by the public unconsciously. Why? The fact that its so cool, everyone will place it at the top of their to-buy list. Thats how commonly common it would be. Its not that i criticized or condemned iPhone 3Gs, but its just my nature of preference. Im someone who enjoy being different. Besides, one man's meat is another man's poison.

A good example is the famous Louis Vuitton, a well-known designer bag. Due to the fact that its f*cking expensive, people in China see it as an opportunity and starts to produce bogus LV items to satisfy the market's need. Its symbiosis in Biology as both parties gain benefits from the outcome. When too much people own it, there's where special and unique loses its meaning.

Here's the reason why...

Recently HTC Hero had release major new firmware. The English 2.73.405.5 ROM brings with it a new lease of speed and general perkiness to the Android smartphone, together with adding touch-to-focus to the Hero’s 5-megapixel camera. That makes it compatible with iPhone 3Gs touch-to-focus feature. According to HTC, the update will take around 10 minutes to install and wipe your Hero clean in the process.

My choice, HTC Hero!

EngHoo: Yea, its a very good phone. Thats why im getting it, none the less, its very expensive. Wait for the price to drop, or wait for the desire to go away... *waiting for my phone to spoilt*

Saw: Nop, its not ugly at all!!! Responsive wise, the new firmware update is able to solve the problem. Which makes it even more compatible with iPhone 3Gs.
